Marissa is a multidisciplinary performing artist and creative entrepreneur.

As a director and creator, Marissa focuses on multidisciplinary experiences that break the boundaries of traditional theater. Her work has appeared in theaters, night clubs, festivals, art galleries, and on the streets of Boston and New York City. In 2011, she co-founded ToUch Performance Art where she serves as the Co-Artistic Director and produces original work all over New England and in New York City. ToUch Performance Art served as Artist in Residence at the American Repertory Theater's OBERON from 2013 to 2016. With ToUch, Marissa has directed and created shows such as AcousticaElectronica, Sexyback: or What You Will, and Searching for Signal. Other directing work includes Proclamation 4: Borders/Boundaries (American Repertory Theater), and Associate Resident Director of The Donkey Show (American Repertory Theater — Dir. Diane Paulus, 2012). 

Marissa has a passion for creative entrepreneurship and helping artists hone their business skills. In 2013, she co-founded her second company, ToUch Events, LLC., focusing on creating customized event entertainment. ToUch Events has created events for client such as The Boston Lyric Opera, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and Trevor Project, as well as performed alongside artists such as Elton John, Tony Bennett, and Meghan Hilty.

As an actor, she works consistently on stage and screen. Marissa is proud to have performed in Boston's staple shows such as Shear Madness, The Donkey Show (for over 5 years in 3 different roles!) and the U.S. premiere of Sh*t-faced Shakespeare productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena) and Much Ado About Nothing (Beatrice). On camera, Marissa frequently appears in television commercials, web videos, and print ads. Marissa is currently represented by Model Club, INC and has worked with clients such as Capital One, Wayfair, Honey Dew Donuts, and NuRoo Baby for Target.

As a teaching artist, Roberts has worked with students of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. Roberts joined the faculty of Contemporary Theater at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2015 and teaches ensemble performance, creative entrepreneurship, producing, as well as directed studies. She has also taught several master classes and workshops based in devising, producing, immersive theater, entrepreneurship, and acting. These classes have taken place at The Boston Conservatory, Emerson College, Berklee College of Music, Le Moyne College, and Urbanity Dance.

Roberts holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Communications from Le Moyne College (Syracuse, NY). She went on to earn an M.F.A. in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory, where she was a part of the inaugural M.F.A. class.
